Rashford reporting he is being racially abused after his poor performance last night.
No one should have to put up with abuse rich football player or not, but if anyone is in any doubt how manipulative this man is, have a look at his timeline to see where the abuse is coming from. It's not from white football fans. But you can be sure he won't be in a hurry to point that out.

His timeline. It's public. When he talks about a teacher abusing him, that one was apparently a private message - a 'DM' - that we are unable to see. I link to the sample of public messages in the OP. You can check each of those accounts, they hadn't deleted at the time of posting.
Considering the well-publicized racial politics of Roc Nation, its association with BLM politics, it's hardly a conspiracy theorist level leap to believe that Rashford omitting the race of his abusers might be quite convenient for him and Roc Nation.
But, yeah, maybe he's just a nice bloke and none of that occurred to him.

He's a client of Roc Nation. Roc Nation is paid by Rashford to manage the public's perception of him. Roc Nation is quite open about its political agenda. Even if you are in complete agreement with that agenda you can't plausibly argue that Rashford and Roc Nation are not 'manipulating people's thinking.'

I assume Wils that is why Rashford got the police to investigate, do you think it likely he knew the histories of the people abusing him and cynically wanted people to think he was being abused by white people? Or do.you think he'd prefer not to have been abused at all and people suggesting he wants to manipulate people's thinking might just have a problem with him?

Not quite that simple. The Twitter accounts have histories and followers so it's not hard to work out if you are looking at white British account or arabic etc. eg Most white british people would struggle to hold conversations in arabic. Also, although not impossible, it's quite elaborate to build an account over several years interacting with people in different languages just so a few years down the line you can abuse someone famous whilst pretending to be from a very different demographic.

Because then facebook and twitter would lose probably over half of their accounts, quite a bit in ad revenue and stock value. Plus this faux drama is a reinforcing feedback loop of attention to their sites. All of the incentive is for them keeping things as they are.
